At 23:59:50 on December 31, 2025, Flight HU7723 landed at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, marking the successful completion of Shanghai Airport’s transportation support operations for 2025.
According to preliminary statistics, Shanghai Airport handled 839,000 inbound and outbound flights in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. Total passenger throughput exceeded 135 million, up 8.3% year on year. Notably, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport recorded passenger throughput of over 50 million for the first time, officially joining the global “50-million-passenger club.”
Total cargo and mail throughput reached 4.5 million metric tons, a 7.9% increase year on year. All three key operational indicators—flight movements, passenger volume, and cargo throughput—set new historical records.
